Lisa Gordon’s Cancer Treatment

     Lisa Gordon, (some of you know her as Lisa Gagne-Berube) is a hardworking and humorous woman, who wholeheartedly adores her family and friends. She’s always been the type of person to lend someone a helping hand. Lisa is known by many people in her hometown through her 7+ years of service at Mr. J’s Taxi. 

     Over the holidays, she received results from a biopsy that came back positive for cancer. She will need extensive surgery that will put her out of work for many months, if not permanently. Friends and family have reached out in numerous ways but can only do so much. Lisa has been and will continue to be traveling back and forth to Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA for scans and other appointments. Her surgery will also be taking place in Boston. The surgery could take upwards of 12+ hours. She will be spending a week or two in Boston. Her husband Jeff will be with her during this ordeal.

     After the surgery she will be receiving chemo/radiation closer to home. This is going to entail many weeks of rehabilitation and reconstructive surgeries.

     She has been extremely overwhelmed, and those who love her don’t want her to have to worry about the financial aspects of this ordeal. Insurance does t even begin to pay for everything she is going to need. Helping cover the cost of gas, meals and tolls, to and from appointments and procedures as well as surgery, radiation treatments, and pain management would mean the world to her.
