On Tuesday, January 10th our beloved Lisa suffered a massive stroke. She was at home and her grandson Daton found her collapsed on the floor. We estimate that Lisa was on the floor for approximately 4 hours wihtout any assistance. She was rushed by ambulance to the Fernandina Beach Hospital. They quickly assessed her condition and decided she needed to be medivaced by helicopter to the Baptist Hospita in Jacksonville, Florida.
Lisa is the mother of two boys, David and Dalton and grandmother to Daton and Kami. In her 54 years Lisa has worked endless hours to support her family. It was not unusual for Lisa to have 3 jobs to try and make ends meet. In the last few years, she and her mother Leone (71) have built up a small cleaning business in the Fernandina Beach area. They have a very loyal clientel and are known for their hard work and dedication. While this is very hard, physical work you never hear a complaint from Lisa.
Lisa is no stranger to hardship. She lost her loving son David (Daton's father) in 2010 to a heart attack. David was only 28 years old. Lisa helps with her 14 year old grandson Daton . After finally finding and marrying the love of her life, her husband Buddy Hall passed away last year from cancer, just one year after their wedding. Even with so much grief, Lisa has carried on and kept her faith in God. She works hard everyday to provide for herself and her family.
Lisa is a proud person who has never taken any government assistance or looked for hand-outs. She has always lived a simple life and worked hard to make ends meet. Despite her hard work and determination there are many things that she goes without.
We have no idea how long it will take and how much Lisa will be able to recover from this stroke. Lisa is facing enormous medical bills and recovery costs. Her future is so uncertain. We have no idea if and when she will be able to provide for herself and her family again. We want our precious Lisa to spend her energy and thoughts on getting better and her recovery not how she is going to pay her bills or feed her family in the future. She has given so much of herself to others throughout her life and we want to try and give some of that back to her in this time of need. Lisa needs help now more than ever but we know she is far too proud to ask herself. If you could find it in your heart to give whatever you can to someone who needs and deserves help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God Bless.
