Lisa Hunt Emergency Fund

Hi my name is Jerrilynn Woodson and I’d like to tell you about my friend Lisa Hunt. Lisa is a person that I have personally witnessed provide help to others afflicted by illness and hard times without hesitation. She is one of the most caring and compassionate people I’ve ever met. Lisa is now facing incredible hardship of her own and needs our help. Lisa has been struggling with ongoing complications of a severe right leg injury after an horrific motorcycle accident over 20 years ago. To date, she has endured over 30 surgeries including cadaver bone and hardware implants to save her leg. However, she developed osteomyelitis, a chronic infection of the implanted bone and hardware that became life-threatening necessitating total amputation of her right leg just a few days ago, the day after her 58th birthday. Lisa is a person with an abundance of spirit, determination and inspiration who is already talking of helping others in her situation after she completes rehab with a total right leg prosthetic. However, in the meantime, she is facing a multitude of expenses including upcoming mortgage payment, bills and extensive home modifications including wheelchair ramps and other modifications necessary for bathroom accessibility, etc. I can’t stress how urgently she needs our help and can’t think of anyone else more deserving of funds right now.
