Lisa Huskey. If someone draws a line in the sand, you sure do want her to be on your side of the line! Am I right? Whether you know Lisa as a friend, coworker, or coach, you know that she is loyal, she loves with her whole heart, she is a fighter and she is a winner! Lisa will guard your back but push you right out of your comfort zone all at the same time. And nobody better mess with her friends, her team, or her family.
In late January of 2020 Lisa received the devastating news that she had breast cancer. By the time doctor's appointments, second opinions, and surgery were scheduled, COVID-19 was beginning to turn the world upside down. Just a week before her first surgery, our dad landed in the hospital, and of course, she dropped everything and came to be there with him and mom just days before surgery. Two weeks later she underwent a second surgery. By the time Chemo came around, the US was on lockdown. She endures chemo alone, only able to wave at Chris out her window and face-time family. Of course, Lisa brought her computer with her to chemo treatments so she could participate in zoom conference calls while the chemo dripped. A couple of months ago the Adult Day Care Center Lisa worked for laid off Lisa and other employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Talk about bad timing.
With the recent reduction of unemployment payments, the cost of insurance, medical bills, and living costs are mounting and their savings are dwindling. When Lisa first sold about her cancer diagnosis I immediately asked her if I could make a Go Fund Me for her. She said, "No, we will be ok!" But now that all of this has transpired, she needs our help. If Lisa has touched your life please consider donating a few dollars to help cover her health insurance and medical expenses and most importantly pray for her health and complete healing!
