Lisa Luedtke - #Deuces to Cancer

Hi, my name is Rachel Tapp, a friend of Lisa, and I'm putting together this fundraiser for Lisa and Tricia Luedtke. This coming year is going to be a big challenge for them, so I challenge you to step up and help in any way you can. All funds will go towards medical bills, surgeries, and other associated costs.

About Lisa:

Lisa "Deuces" Luedtke played for the West Michigan Mayhem Women's football team for 10 years and became the head coach following her retirement. She also owned the team for 8 years. Lisa put in countless hours teaching women the sport of football and sharing her knowledge. Lisa met her wife, Tricia, while they both played for the Mayhem and they have a 2 1/2 year-old son named Peyton with another son, Blake, due in June. Individually and as a family they have focused on volunteering in their community and giving back as much as possible. This is our chance to help them as much as they love to help others.

Lisa's Journey:

-During her first ever mammogram in December 2022, a mass was found.

-On January 3rd, she had a biopsy of the mass in her breast and lymph nodes.

-On January 5th, she was diagnosed with stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.

-She started chemo on January 31st and that will last 20 weeks.

-Surgery will be this summer with radiation to follow, along with a few other necessary surgeries.

A note from the family:

This will undoubtedly be the longest and hardest year of our lives. Why not go through cancer, chemo, and a new baby all in the same year, but we are so thankful to have you all in our corner and could not do this without you.

FYI and PLEASE - Lisa would like you all to go get your pap smears and mammograms!!!
