Lisa Mackey Preston with Rosie’s vet bill

Lisa Mackey Preston and her son, Conner , recently had to say goodbye to their beloved dog, Rosie. As many of you know, 2022 had already been a tough year for the 2 of them, and Lisa wanted to do something special and different for the holidays. She selflessly invited a sweet shelter dog (Goose) into her home over the holidays to foster and provide the dog with a break from shelter life. Unknowingly, Goose was sick and highly contagious. In a horrible turn of events, Rosie became ill from their new furry friend and had to be hospitalized. After 3 grueling days of being in isolation, on oxygen, antibiotics and a feeding tube, Rosie ultimately crossed the rainbow bridge. As if the shock and heartbreak of losing Rosie weren’t enough , Lisa is now stuck with a vet bill of approximately $8,000. Please consider donating to help offset the cost of this senseless tragedy that all stemmed from her trying to do a good thing.
