Lisa Martinez ( TBI ) assistance Fund

Hello, Last year 2023, Lisa Martinez began her recovery and rehabilitation from a Fall and subsequent debilitating Traumatic Brain injury surgery ( TBI) and she is now disabled. She has encountered cognitive, medical, and financial setbacks along with mounting legal fees along the way, which are related to her recovery journey.

Currently Ms. Martinez is unable to work due to complications she has encountered from her brain injury and she is also unable to drive.

Ms. Martinez has relied on the generosity and kindness of family and friends to meet her basic housing, food , legal and living expenses. Ms. Martinez has applied for Social Security Disability benefits ( SSDI) and she was initially denied benefits recently.

Through Ms. Martinez attorney she has been informed that an appeal has been submitted on her behalf ( Most SSDI claims are denied upon the initial application). This process takes time to adjudicate through the Social Security system.

Unfortunately at this time Ms. Martinez has no viable means of support to meet her monthly housing, food and living expenses and this GO Fund me account has been setup on her behalf to help her cover some of the costs of her living expenses while she awaits a decision from the Social Security Administration regarding her appeal.
