Lisa Mix- Medical Bills and Needs

My name is Jessica and as some of you know my mother Lisa Mix had a massive stroke on November 1st of this year. She was able to get some life saving meds in time to help stop her paralysis from continuing. Currently she is in a rehab facility working to regain the use of her left side. We are hopeful that one day she will get full use of that side on her body again but it will be a long road to recovery. Due to her physical limitations we are hoping to get her a service dog next year. Currently Insurance is trying to send her home without a daily nurse. We are trying to fight the issue as Lisa needs assistance with personal hygiene needs, meals and just everyday things. We are hoping that doesn’t happen but have been told that several other needs are not covered even if she stays in the current facility. All current donations will be going to medical expenses either for equipment or bills. We truly appreciate anything as there is no long term care insurance in place and now that she had a stroke she isn’t eligible to purchase any.
