Oklahoma teacher's vet bills after dog attack

This is Tara, Lisa's daughter...
On March 2nd my mom, Lisa Plunkett, was out taking her dachshund, Millie, for a walk through her neighborhood in Shawnee. She did this daily (sometimes multiple times a day) and she and Millie were known throughout the neighborhood. Unfortunately, during that walk, a pit bull jumped its backyard fence and attacked Millie, knocking Lisa over in the process. Many neighbors came to their aid and pulled the pit away from them. Lisa rushed Millie to an emergency vet, and they did all that they could, but sadly Millie passed away from her injuries the morning of the 3rd.
I’m setting this fundraiser up to help my mom pay the veterinary and legal bills that are coming. Lisa will be pursuing legal action against the pit bulls' owners, as this dog has had other violent incidents in the past and nothing was done. Lisa is a veteran high school teacher living in Oklahoma, one of the lowest paying states for teachers, so she will need all the help she can get. While Lisa is physically okay, Millie was her faithful companion, and this entire situation has been extremely traumatic for her.
Please consider donating any amount you can to help this cause.
