Lisa Raymond's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
Hi everyone, this is Chelsea

I wanted to get on here and thank everyone who has donated so far, our family greatly appreciates all of you❤️

My mom is still in ICU and will continue to be. Today is a little more rough than the recent days have been. My mother has spiked a fever and has become more critical. She is now showing indications of infections. They are unsure right now where this is coming from but she will be going in for a CT scan to find out.

Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers and keep the positive vibes coming as we continue to go through this.

A very dear mother, daughter, friend and aunt, (Lisa Raymond) was in a severe head on collision on Monday July 24th at 1:45 pm where she was struck by another vehicle while on her way to pick up her children, in Hinsdale, NH. Lisa was flown to UMASS in critical condition. She arrived and was put into emergency surgery to save her life as she had internal bleeding from her abdomen where her GI tract was ripped apart and in the end had to have a large part of it removed. Furthermore, she suffered a broken clavicle, broken femur, and lower spine fractures as well as a cut to her majory artery in her neck. She was very lucky that the cut was shallow enough to control it with stitches, but that is being continually monitored. Lisa is still awaiting multiple surgeries before she is out of the woods completely. She was intubated until Wednesday July 26th, where she was finally able to have that removed and our family was able to communicate with her again.

Unfortunately, she has a very long road ahead of her and she needs our support more than ever. Without knowing the outcome of the coming surgeries this week, we know as of now that she will need to go back for another surgery around 6 months from now, and another even farther down the road to get her body fully functioning back to a new normal. To say Lisa is in a great deal of pain is an understatement, and she faces a lot of challenges in the coming months as she adjusts to her new normal both physically, mentally and financially.

She is so grateful to be alive and be here to continue to watch her children grow. She is truly blessed by all of the love and support she has received from the many messages and well wishes to the visits down to UMASS, even when she was not responsive and able to acknowledge anyone was there it means such a great deal to her. As many of you may know Lisa runs multiple parks across New England where she is traveling a great deal of time whether it be driving or flying out, and due to this accident she will be unable to perform her job for, at this time, an unknown amount of time.

Our family knows as independent as Lisa is, she is going to need our help and we kindly ask that you can, please consider a donation to help her through this extremely difficult time as she navigates these hardships and try's to get back to her new normal.

Thank you all!
