Lisa Rhinehart

In October of 2023, Lisa and her family received the devastating news she has stage 3 cancer. In addition to her Crohn’s disease, she has a large, cancerous mass that is near a lymph node. Her team of doctors created an intense plan to tackle this nasty disease. Over the next few weeks, Lisa will get a permanent colostomy bag to help alleviate her pain and symptoms. Furthermore, she will receive radiation and chemotherapy at Cleveland Clinic for five weeks, five days a week. She will then require surgery to remove both her colon and rectum, accompanied by even more radiation and chemotherapy. Where Lisa and her husband, Paul, will be staying during this difficult time has not been figured out yet. Luckily, Paul has some family nearby. Unfortunately, their two daughters will be home in Falconer. This will require Paul to travel back and forth quite often, as their younger daughter is still in high school.

I am asking anybody that knows Lisa and all her family and friends to please donate whatever you can to help their family. Not only will Lisa and Paul have to find a place to stay during her treatment, but Paul will be required to drive back and forth. Their two daughters would greatly appreciate any meals that could be provided, especially dinner, as one is only in tenth grade and is active in sports. Anything you are able to contribute is greatly appreciated!

When Lisa was healthy, she was working as a special education teacher. Even with a Crohn’s diagnosis in her late teens, she continued to pursue her dream and make a difference in children’s lives. Due to the severity of her Crohn’s and the lasting side effects, Lisa has been unable to work a handful of years. She is on a limited income, as she is only receiving partial disability. Lisa is a selfless individual who has helped countless people throughout her life, so please let’s all join together to help her when she and her family need it the most.
