Lisa Truett fund for her stem cell transplant

My name is Holly Mohrmann, and I am the unlikely friend of Lisa Truett. People have often mistaken me for her daughter (which brings me so much joy and slightly annoys her) due to our age difference. This is something I will never let her forget and will work into conversations any chance I get. Lisa and I met through work years ago, and I, like so many others, instantly fell in love with her spunk and her wit. She immediately became someone I looked up to as not only a mentor, but as a mother, and now as a lifelong friend. I was drawn to her and have always admired her strength. I was always amazed by her innate ability to help others with such ease and grace. She’s a friend without judgment, a friend you can count on, and an amazing wife, mother, sister and daughter. To know Lisa truett is to love her. She has spent her life in service to others and has raised a beautiful family alongside her husband, Steve. She is hardworking, kind, and humble. As you all know by now, she has been fighting the greatest battle of her life, and just as we all expected, she has fought this battle with such grace and dignity. During her cancer battle, she has continued to spend her time caring for and putting others first. Lisa and Steve are an amazing team that have spent much of their life doing for others. Now is the time that we can do for them. Along with all your love and prayers, I humbly ask that we support the Truett family in another way, so as to ease any burden possible during this next phase of Lisa’s treatment. As you may know, her stem cell transplant is coming soon, and the expenses of her numerous trips to and from MD Anderson, the hotel stays, and all treatment expenses is a burden that no family should have to experience. I ask that we each provide what we can, no matter how small, in order to provide some relief for this amazing woman and her family during this time. May our financial contributions ease some of the burden while we continue to lift up our friend and her family in prayers for continued strength on her journey towards health and healing
