Lisa Kill Cancer
Donation protected
I'm Levi. My wife is Lisa Hammer. Yes. The very same. You know her. You love her. For those who don't know her, she's a very well respected independent musician and filmmaker.
Right now she is fighting breast cancer.
You would think that would be enough to deal with. The trouble is that it takes both of us, as independent artists, to make enough money. Without the dual income we could easily and quickly fall behind on our regular bills. In this regard, she spoke before a congressional panel this Monday, May 2nd, 2016, to address the difficulties independent artists face with protecting their intellectual property and ability to make a living.
Our lives are pretty streamlined as we put most of our money back into our work. Our insurance covers a generous portion of the medical bills that will be coming in but we are still on the hook for the rest of it. Even with the coverage we will be on the hook for thousands of dollars.
So we are looking down the barrel of lost income and unanticipated bills.
We would really be thankful to anyone who could help us through the next six to nine months. It would mean we could focus more on Lisa's health and rehabilitation so she can come out the other side stress free and cancer free.
Sincerely,
Levi
