Cancer Diagnosis & Fired From Job

I work in a dental practice where I met Lisa, one of our patients.  She had called me a few days before to let me know she felt a lump in her jaw region and wanted to make sure we checked it out when she came for her hygiene appointment.
After taking an xray of the area Lisa was referred to an oral surgeon.  Unfortunately that lump turned out to be Lymphoma Cancer. 

Just a week ago, Lisa called the office trying to maintain her composure over the phone as best as she could.  Through her breaths I could clearly tell she was crying and upset.  I asked her what was wrong, and she went on to tell me that she was just fired from her job.  

She asked me, "How am I going to get another job?  Who's going to hire a fat, sick person like me???"

My heart fell to my knees.

You see, she had used up all of her sick and vacation time from her job because her her chemo treatments.  The day before she was terminated from her long-standing job she had left work feeling ill after a chemo-treatment. 

When she returned to work the next day her supervisors let her know she was no longer needed and they let her go.

Lisa is a single woman who lives on her own.  Just the weekend prior to her getting fired, her vehicle had broken down and so she had just purchased a newer vehicle to get her around.

Now Lisa is losing her insurance, won't be able to afford her home or car and is being forced to sell all of her things, move out of her house and find a room to rent from someone. 

I am trying to raise money for her so that she can pay for necessities --food, shelter, and transportation---while she continues her chemo-treatments and battles lymphoma.
