Lisa-Michele, our beloved teacher at First Step Nursery School, needs a helping hand while she continues her fight against ovarian cancer. Not only is September Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, it also marks the twentieth anniversary of Lisa-Michele's employment at our most special preschool. Along with her fellow loving teachers, she continues to inspire and support our children to ensure their beautiful future. It's now time we come together and focus on HER future.
Lisa-Michele was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the summer of 2014. She underwent surgery, weekly chemotherapy, then three years of testing and remission. The cancer resurfaced in 2018 - again, more chemotherapy and a rigorous maintenance program. Unfortunately, the physical and emotional side effects are intense and limit her working hours. Only some of her medications are covered by insurance. All this combined with pending (and minimal) disability allowance make for a less than favorable financial margin. This is where we come in...
PLEASE help us help Lisa-Michele through this challenging time. Even $10 per person makes a huge difference when we partner up. $50-100... monumental. Contribute any amount you can if you can. Tell your friends. Tell their friends. Heck - make friends!
To donate, just follow the prompts on this page. Every cent goes direct to Lisa-Michele and her cause. First Step Preschool is not involved with nor benefits from this fundraising. We're simply a group of grateful parents who care. Not only does your monetary contributions help heal, so do your words of encouragement and high-fives.
If you have any questions, comments, or ideas for alternate contributions - please let us know!
