Lisana Strong
Donation protected
As some of you may or may not know, Lisana Barriteau, our night shift ED tech, here at St. Luke’s ED was diagnosed with a brain tumor that is resting up against her optic nerve. She has been having ongoing dizziness and headaches and now complications with her vision. Surgeons are saying she must undergo a craniotomy in order to remove the tumor and avoid permanent vision loss. She is set to have surgery December 1st.
Lisana is a strong, beautiful person and the mother to two beautiful girls. We all know life has not always been fair to her. She has navigated through the hallways of many hospitals over the past 12 years taking care of her daughter’s medical needs, all the while with a positive attitude and smile on her face.
Now the roles are reversed. Lisana is going to be the patient being taken care of and she needs a village behind her. She is going to be out of work for an unknown amount of time, yet her financial responsibilities, including medical bills will continue.
She would never ask for any help at all. She has always been independent and has done everything for everyone around her but right now she needs our help. She needs to get through this surgery stress free so she can continue on building an amazing life with her beautiful family.
Please consider making a donation to offer your financial support which will allow Lisana to focus on her full recovery. This is an opportunity to give back to an amazing person who has always given herself to family and friends.
We just ask that you all respect Lisana and her family’s privacy at this time. We will be updating everyone as we can with any information that is shared with us.
In this ED— no one fights alone.
With Gratitude,
Erin, Lindsay, and Biz
