Lisa’s Acute Myeloid Leukemia Battle

Donation protected
I'm writing this today with great fear and sadness for my dear friend Lisa (Bosecker) Henderson. I've been close to Lisa since 1997 when we skated in a show at Busch Gardens in Tampa. Over the many years that have passed, we became more like sisters. That is why it breaks my heart to announce to all that Lisa is in a life-threatening fight against cancer, Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Lisa, in her infinite luck, pulled a rare cancer card in that this particular beast is both very aggressive and usually only attacks those of us who are over 60 years of age! As you all know, Lisa is nowhere near the age of 60. In fact, Lisa is in the prime of her life and raising two beautiful daughters Courtney, 15 and Reagan 10, with her husband of 17 years, Craig. This, as you can, imagine, has been devastating news.
A bone marrow transplant is the only way that Lisa can survive this cancer. In an interesting twist of fate, Lisa's equally interesting 2021 move from Alabama to Florida hopefully will save her life! Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, is a world leader in treatment of this aggressive leukemia. Lisa will be starting chemotherapy in the next few weeks as they prepare her body for the bone marrow transplant. She will spend a month or more in the hospital, then will have to recover at home for 3 to 6 months with healthcare at home.
Naturally, she will be unable to perform her duties as a physical therapist, assistant, and therefore the family will be moving from dual incomes to a single income. The burden on this family is immense.
I am asking you to donate what you can, PLEASE! The financial goal for Lisa's family is to cover the day to day medical expenses that are already adding up, and for family bills sure to come upon the loss of Lisa's income. PLEASE share this for us because one never knows when a financial angel will appear. Thank you thank you, thank you, for taking the time to read this and thank you in advance for your generous donation to my friends family. Let's help Lisa, Craig, Courtney and Reagan so some of the stress can be eased while we support them with strength and love.
With gratitude and love,
Heather (Newmark) Hanson
