Lisa's House Burned Down
Donation protected
Hi Athens and Lake Oconee Crew,
Our dear friend, bartender, co-worker, drinking buddy, you name it, Lisa Collier's house in Athens caught fire and burned Wednesday. Luckily, she was home when it started in the eave of the roof and she was able to rescue(again) her dogs, but not much else. The fire took out the attic and top floor of her house, but the smoke and water took out the rest. The firefighters and mitigation team said that 99% of the stuff she owns will have to be disposed of due to carcinogens.
With that said, Lisa needs our help in the short term! Insurance will be covering expenses in the next year, but there are so many things that she will need to buy just to put her life and work back together by Monday that will be an out-of-pocket expense for her until the insurance comes through.
We all know and love Lisa and I will say, she is extremely stressed with putting her house and life back together, let alone trying to find a rental in Athens with a fenced-in yard for her dogs, but she will make it happen. I do ask that you send your questions, thoughts, love, and support to Lindy, Evan, or Myself and we will forward them on to her when she is less stressed and doesn't feel the pressure to respond to everyone, all at once.
