Lisa's Journey to Recovery: Supporting Her After a Stroke
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
We are so deeply devastated to be writing this note about our mom, Lisa. There are not words to describe how amazing and incredible she is as a mom, but also to everyone who crosses her path. We know she has so many people who love and care about her, because it's impossible not to. She is our heart and soul, and we're hoping and praying for the best outcome possible.
Lisa was found unresponsive at home on Wednesday, June 19th. She was rushed to the emergency room, where doctors discovered she was having a thyroid storm. There is so much still unknown, but it's thought that this thyroid event may have spiked her blood pressure, triggering bleeding in the center of her brain. We're told she experienced a hemorrhagic stroke.
Lisa was finishing her nursing degree, with only one class left to pass before she became an RN. It is her lifelong dream and passion to finish nursing school so she can do what she loved most, help others. She had resigned from her job to focus entirely on school for the past few months, which is why this medical emergency will come with added costs and expenses. No donation is expected, but anything given will help with medical expenses. Mom is always a giver, so she would never ask for help on her own. We appreciate you all, and will continue hoping and praying for her return to us.
