Lise la Cour Legacy Fund
Donation protected
We lost our mother, mentor and friend too soon. As a member of the dance community in Denmark and San Jose, Lise left an indelible mark on the dance world. Her mentorship and leadership helped shape countless lives. Blessed with a unique vision of artistic form and function, Lise was an invaluable asset. Her range of influence extended to developing the technique and artistry of ballet students and professionals alike, in addition to guiding productions of countless ballets and operas. She had an ability to connect with untapped potential in all who worked with her, pushing people to excel beyond their own boundaries of creativity. She possessed qualities of a true leader.
As her son, and professional ballet dancer, my mission is to carry on the vision of my mother, Lise la Cour, an unyielding positive force who had dreams which she did not have time to fulfill. We will use the funds collected to archive and preserve her children's ballets. Additionally, a scholarship fund will be created in her name, open to emerging dancers, choreographers, composers, and passionate creators who share Lise's vision of unbridled creativity but might not have the means to attend costly educational programs.
Any donation means support of the legacy Lise left behind, and an investment in future artists. Not only would financial support be received with immense gratitude from those working to preserve her ballets, but also from a student striving to reach their potential without the resources to go the distance.
Sincerely,
The la Cour family
