Lismore to Lismore Virtual Walk
Sponsored Virtual Walk for Bunscoil Bhóthar na Naomh 2021
We are the Parents’ Council for Bunscoil Bhóthar na Naomh, a primary school in Lismore, Co Waterford.
We are hoping to raise funds for the upgrade of our computer room.
Our goal is to travel 3935 kms to Lismore in Nova Scotia in Canada.
Every euro donated is a km towards our goal.
We are hoping that you will walk 5km (or more if you wish!) over the June Bank Holiday weekend, or whenever you can.
You can run, walk, cycle, jump, skip or hop!
The funds raised will cover the cost of 6 Windows 10 PC’s and Microsoft Office bundles and their setup.
The computer room was first opened in 2005. It was financed by the Parents’s Council and a government I.T grant. Initially it had 25 computers but over the years this has increased to 35. It is used on a daily basis during the school year. Uses range from very basic in junior classes to children producing their own power point presentations and projects in senior classes.
Technology is constantly changing and updating and we have a duty to ensure our children have the best chance at learning and evolving with this world that that they live in. It would mean so much to us if you could help us achieve this.
We are only able to assist the school because of the great help and support we receive from you the parents, guardians, teachers and the wider community, with all our fundraising activities. We would appreciate as much support as possible and any donation you can offer, no matter how big or small.
Every euro helps!
