Hi. My name is Seth and I’m a ‘Little Avenger’, I’m 3. My big sister is Nancy and she thinks I’m a very special brother - ‘one in a million’ so to say. I’m actually ‘one in two and a half million.’ That’s a huge number! You see I was born with an extremely rare condition called ‘Alexander Disease’.

I’m part of some odds that no parent would choose to navigate. My mummy’s friend Julie says my mommy and daddy do this with so much dignity, without complaining and absolutely full of love for me and my Nancy. I have a beautiful soul and, grown-ups say, the most dreamy eyes. I turned 3 in February and I’m a very happy boy. I have lots of very good qualities and so many abilities. Unfortunately, I wasn’t blessed with many of the ones that most people are.

I have a fantastic group of buddies at Acorns Children’s Hospice that I hang out with. They are like hidden little heroes fighting a brave fight.

This page has been set up by my mommy Claire and her friend Julie to raise money for my hospice, with a small amount of whatever is raised helping to fund a Children’s run on the 31st of August around our village green in Dickens Heath. Every child who enters will be given a certificate of appreciation and a medal that they will donate to a child at Acorn’s ( but of course any child who wishes to keep their medal can ). ‘Metal for your mettle’ so to speak. It will be donated by the little runners to recognise the courage and strength and resilience that the children at Acorns need to run a much harder race every single day. The children running will be from our little primary schools, Tidbury Green and Dickens Heath. My mommy and Julie have spoken to some of the children and they are very excited about being one of my ‘Running Avengers’. They loved the idea of using their superpowers of empathy and kindness to celebrate my buddies superpowers of bravery and courage.

Mommy and Julie will update the page with news about how things are going. We may need a little bit of money to buy the medals and something to get the certificates printed but the rest will all go to Acorns.

Some of the local businesses where we live are going to help with the cost of these so, fingers crossed, we can raise lots of money for Acorn’s Hospice and this very special run.

Oh by the way, the photo below is my big sister Nancy. She thinks I should join in on the day and bum shuffle around the green. After all, I’m just her Seth,
“ What’s so special about me ?” She’s just adorable.

. If you can help, no matter how small your contribution - every tiny amount can make a huge difference to the lives of me and my buddies.

Thank you for reading this far ❤️
