Little Free Library at Morello Hills Church

I am creating a "Little Free Library" that will benefit preschool children's education and my local community and I need your assistance to bring my plan to completion.

I've worked with my local church, which has a daycare center, and they suggested a "Little Free Library" station by the preschool. The Little Free Libraries is a nationwide program that provides an exchange point for books in areas underserved by libraries or for the convenience of patrons. The books themselves are free, so this project is the construction of the station for the books. The benefits to children at the daycare are most immediate since they (or their parents) can easily pick up books, for working-class communities. Literacy is a key predictor of future success in work as a child graduates through school, so starting the habit of reading is really important. Not only are the children of the daycare benefited, but the larger community as well.

The total price of my Little Free Library station is $451 for materials. My friends and I will be providing the labor free to assemble the materials into the final project.
