"I never imagined finding my Prince Charming while buying wiper blades at NAPA" said Diane about meeting Gary for the first time. 15 plus years later they are still in love but now in the fight of their lives.
My sweet brother Gary Faragon suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm the morning of September 10th. After spending weeks in the ICU at Albany Medical Center, he is now recovering at Sunnyview Rehab with an uncertain future.
Gary's loving partner Diane Wisman is embracing her very own life challenge. She has stage IV leiomyosarcoma of the uterus and on September 20th started a 5 week daily course of radiation therapy. She is also a brittle diabetic but her fiercely strong will to live keeps her moving forward. Diane, who works full time as a busy inventory specialist at the Colleges of Nanoscale Science, is now dividing her time between work, radiation treatment, spending time with her beloved Gary and caring for their dogs and cats. She is resilient and has an amazing spirit!
We are heartbroken and overwhelmed looking at the challenges they face....Diane now bears the financial burden of running a household alone while Gary is recovering.
We would appreciate thoughts, prayers, and financial support for Gary and Diane to keep them afloat during this difficult , unpredictable journey.
Through it all Diane continues to smile, hopeful that her Prince Charming will one day kiss her again. Thank you and God bless from the family and friends of Gary and Diane.
