Little Olivia could use our help

Hi my name is Jill. I am fundraising for my dear friend Chelsea and her beautiful baby Olivia. Olivia was born with some complications which has led to a lot of extra unexpected costs.

"My sweet baby Olivia was born in the Smithers hospital December 2023. I was only able to see her for a few moments in the operating room before they whisked her away due to complications. It was found that my sweet girl was having seizures every 10 to 15 minutes! And they had no idea why!!

She was medevacked within a couple of hours to B.C. Children's Hospital in Vancouver as our local hospital didn't have all of the equipment to keep her alive and well.

My mother flew to Vancouver with her, and my husband and I made the epic 16 hour journey by car a few days later (after speaking with the neurology department about the possible length of her stay). She spent her first month of life outside the womb in an incubator attached to what seemed like every piece of equipment the hospital had.

It turns out Baby Olivia has multiple abnormalities with her brain and they still cannot conclude why or how this may affect her in the future.

This morning, after a couple of trips to terrace for checkups in the past month, we received a phone call that we need to again be back at the B.C. Children's Hospital in just a few days for an urgent MRI.

We are a low income family and are asking for money to cover travel costs and all baby essentials (diapers, formula, etc). My husband was just recently awarded his permanent residency and is finally allowed to work, and I haven't been able to work for over a year and have been in and out of hospitals due to my disability.
