Did you know there are around 17,000 families with kids in Bournemouth? If each family gave up just one coffee—about £3—we could come together to create a brand-new café where parents and kids can enjoy quality time. It’s that simple to make a big difference!

As parents of 2 under 2, we know how challenging it can be to find a space that meets the needs of both parents and toddlers. That’s why we’re on a mission to create Little Play Cafe, a brand-new Montessori-inspired café designed to provide a safe, calming, and engaging environment for families.

Most cafés open too late for parents of early risers, and play spaces often cater only to older kids. Little Play Cafe will solve these problems with early opening hours (7:00 AM), flexible playtimes, and thoughtfully designed spaces for all ages. Non-walkers will have engaging toys and activities, while older kids can enjoy role-play areas and educational fun.

We’re also passionate about creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for parents—a place where they can enjoy quality coffee, handmade desserts, and a moment to recharge.

We’re seeking your support to bring this vision to life. Your contribution will help us:

Create a new play café in a rented commercial space.
Design and furnish the space with Montessori-inspired equipment.
Provide a truly family-focused experience for our community.

How Your Donations Will Be Used:

Here’s how your contributions will be spent to make Little Play Cafe a reality:

£20,000–£25,000 – Renovations: Transforming a rented commercial space into a Montessori-inspired haven, including:

Upgrading the play area with wooden, educational toys.

Installing role-play zones like a mini vet, shop, and school.

Renovating bathrooms to be baby-friendly, with complimentary wipes, nappies, and a sink/shower setup for little ones.

Setting up a kitchen for daily handmade desserts.

£13,000–£15,000 (one year’s rent) – Securing the ideal space to create a comfortable and safe environment for families.

£7,000 – Contingency fund: To ensure a smooth launch and handle unexpected costs.

£1,500 – Inventory: Stocking high-quality coffee, healthy snacks, and other essentials for our opening.
