Little Richard Mural on Ingleside!
Donation protected
The real king of Rock 'n Roll is a gay black man from Macon, Ga.
Help us honor Little Richard by having one of the best graffiti/mural artists on Planet Earth memorialize him with a building-sized mural on Ingleside. Historic Ingleside Avenue is the burgeoning gateway to downtown, and the entrance to Pleasant Hill, where Little Richard grew up. Let's do something amazing for our Village and community!
Jeks has painted hundreds of walls across the U.S., and has made a name for himself worldwide by painting iconic figures like Otis Redding, Leon Russell, Big Boi and Andre 3000, and Biggie Smalls, just to name a few. His massive works of art are usually well over 2-3 stories high, and Jeks meticulous detail and emotion he infuses into every piece made him the perfect choice to memorialize Little Richard in Macon, GA.
He will be at the Society Garden, in mid-June to begin work on a community landmark the likes of which Central Georgia has never seen. The hyper-realistic artwork will be placed on the side of the 2-story brick wall and will be visible while driving down Ingleside.
Your donation will help cover the cost of the artist and materials, so when the world is okay with having parties again, Macon's Architect of Rock 'n Roll will welcome you back with open arms.
We need 200 people to donate 20 bucks! I know we can do this!! Let's transform The Village, one work of art at a time!
