LITTLE TIC - BIG PROBLEM!!!!

life can stop you on a dime - that is exactly what happened for Jamie and Luke. Jamie suddenly found herself struggling with bizarre symptoms; high fevers, nerve pain, loss of use of her right arm, Bells Palsy (complete loss of muscle function on the left side of her face).  They have spent many days and nights in doctors offices, emergency rooms, hospitals and specialists.  After several weeks it was discovered that Jamie has stage 2, early disseminated Lyme Disease.  Also, during the many visits to Neurologist, Infectious Disease doctor and rheumatologist she has also been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder.  Jamie has been unable to work for several weeks and she does not get sick pay.  Her teaching contract expires in 5 days and she has  been applying for jobs and going on interviews, but she has been unable to continue this with her illness.  Luke has had to take time off to care for her as she was unable to care for herself.  I am asking for funds to help them maintain their health insurance through Cobra once Jamies teaching contract expires and to help with the onslaught of medical bills they are facing.  Jamie is still going through more testing and we are hopeful that she will have a full recovery in time.
