Little Warrior Brayden Chanthavong and family
Donation protected
My sweet, adopted in heart and promise, daughter Chantelle Rodriguez and her family are in the midst of a battle. I say adopted in heart because my best friend Lisa Buie asked me, during one of her own medical procedures, to take care of her precisions daughter if she was unable to stay here on this earth and went to heaven.
Brayden's Story: Brayden was born October 19th over a month too early, he came out battling for his life. It is NICU life for Brayden and parents Steven Chanthavong and Chantelle Rodriguez. A shock to the doctors and nurses, on October 26th Braden was diagnosed with a grade 3 Intraventricular hemorrhage. Although the doctors kept a watchful eye on this hemorrhage, little warrior Brayden was able to get off all the breathing tubes on October 30th. However, the hemorrhage did not resolve itself and November 5th Braden was transferred to UCSF Children's hospital in Oakland. On November 9th little man under went surgery to put in a device to extract the excess fluid and reduce swelling and bleeding in his brain. Currently. Brayden is still in Oakland at the UCSF Children's hospital.
Family's Battle: As most of you know during this same time Chantelle, Steven, and big brother Bryson were also visiting mom, mother-in-law, and Grammy Lisa Buie often due to Lisa's battle with terminal cancer. Their time was split between loving on Brayden and Lisa, which meant driving between Oakland and Valley Springs for several days. Even while having heavy hearts about all that is happening, their strength and faith is an amazing inspiration to me. I am so thankful to be a witness to God's and Lisa's strong warrior spirit in Chantelle.
This fund raising campaign is for the family's living and gas expenses, along with tiny and mighty Brayden's medical expenses. Please also continue praying for Brayden and the entire family.
