Little One and Family Need Miracle!

Donation protected

After struggling with infertility for years and going to specialists that said they would never have their own baby, John and Chrissie had Morgan! Their little miracle will be one year old this month!

This dear family needs our help to keep their home! John and Chrissie have been renting to own their  parents house but will be evicted unless they can come up with $1,200. by 12/15/16. Here is their story...

After she had Morgan, Chrissie used 10 weeks of FMLA so her job as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Frederick Memorial Hospital was protected and she returned to work.  While she was pregnant, she had horrible back pain but chalked it up to the pregnancy. They had made the agreement that John would stay at home with Morgan because Chrissie's income was more than his at the time.

Chrissie was in constant pain in her back, and legs.  She went to a few different doctors and got incorrect diagnosis.  Finally, they went to a spinal specialist and Chrissie had surgery 9/20 and then again on 9/22 immediately for destroyed discs, fusion, and the placement of metal in her back.  The pain got better in her right leg. But in October, just when they thought everything was getting better, she started having terrible pain in her left leg.  After an MRI on halloween it was found that the fusion and Cadaver bone had herniated in the same places the discs had, and the fusion had to be redone on 11/17.

The nerves in Chrissie's back were "very angry" according to her Dr.  and now her left leg has no feeling from the knee down.  John has been unable to get a fulltime job because Chrissie cannot care for little Morgan by herself.  She is not supposed to be bending, lifting, or twisting at all, and is now walking with a walker.

Because she took those 10 weeks of FMLA when Morgan was born, she only had 2 weeks left to take for her surgeries.  She has now been placed in an unpaid Leave of Absence status at the hospital.  Her job was not protected and she may be permanently disabled.

Once she heals enough to care for Morgan, John will be seeking work fulltime.  In the meantime, John will be looking for local handyman work [Please give him a call or pass it on]. Since they receive short term disability, they do not qualify for any type of state assistance.

It is my prayer, that durning this Christmas Season of Hope and Goodwill that we can raise enough funds to keep this sweet family from losing their home and help them get a bit ahead to give John time to bring income in and start his customer base!!

Thank you and May God Bless You!!
