Words from a song about dying young. Like Mason Calhoun. Grief and sorrow poor out of the wounds of those left behind - like his dad, stepmom, siblings, family and friends. The unthinkable has happened and Mason was taken from our world this past Friday on June 15th, 2018. 

Mason Calhoun was a Lieutenant Junior Grade in the US Navy and was stationed on the USS Decatur in San Diego, CA. Mase, as we all called him was one of the most good-hearted, friendliest, and outgoing people anyone could meet. We should all aspire to live a life with as much enthusiasm and joy as Mason did. 

One of the harshest realities of dealing with the loss of a loved one, is that the expenses are inevitable. Travel expenses cause additional stress at an already extraordinarily stressful time. If you knew Mason or any of his family members and wish to help with the travel expenses, your generosity will be greatly appreciated.

Remember, life is short BUT love does not die. Mason lives on in our hearts and memories through all of eternity.
