Lived in a gas chamber for months, lost everything

About a year ago, Jeanette moved from Texas to Washington, she was ready for a change, after facing and conquering many internal battles, external barriers, and systemic oppression. She rose above it all and instead of being crushed under the weight of a series of unfortunate events she became a phoenix, a beacon of hope for those like her. Bravely choosing to speak up against injustices of any kind.
Jeanette did not have much when she moved but was resilient and able to locate affordable housing and got rental assistance through a non-profit organization in her new hometown of Snohomish Washington. Stable housing was the first step to success on Jeanette's journey to better; However, Jeanette's health started to deteriorate, and her underlying conditions began to worsen to the point of others noticing the significate differences. Jeanette took note of this but couldn’t make sense of it and blissfully continued on, making friends with neighbors and exploring her community. Eventually, some neighbors confided in her that her unit was previously a Meth lab.
This is when the picture became clear, what she was experiencing was due to months of living in a toxic and contaminated unit; a gas chamber of toxins and byproducts of meth production and use. She made everyone (who should have been able to act) aware and no one would listen, the neighbors told her good luck, we have been trying to get anyone to listen for 2 years....
The next injustice was here, Jeanette rallied the neighbors and called other organizations for help, insight, and enforcement. Jeanette made the choice to leave her apartment willingly out of an abundance of caution and had the unit assessed for contaminates at her cost, with the small amount of money she had left.
A testing company came out, and the results came back, delivered to both Jeanette and the non-profit organization that oversees the property/units. The report showed rages from 100 to 300% higher levels than "allowed" by the department of health standards. The non-profit housing organization has yet to begin remedying the unit, willingly and immediately provide Jeanette with safe, stable housing, basic needs, or access/transportation needs. A mediation was scheduled to discuss Jeanette's basic needs requirements but unfortunately the non-profit canceled the meeting upon our arrival via phone call.
We are asking for your help to come together to support a community member and activist that has taken on the good fight of speaking truth to power and demanding that humane action be taken for not just herself but for all the residents, individuals, families, children, and pets affected by the long-term negligence of this organization. We are unsure when or if Jeannette will be able to move back into her unit and thus we are seeking funds to cover and stabilize 6 months of rent/housing. All the items in her unit must be disposed of because they are contaminated, and thus she has limited clothing, toiletries, and food items, we are asking for funds to replenish these items and assist in stabilizing Jeanette for 6 months.
Much Love,
~Human.
