Liver biopsy for Noodles

Noodles is an almost 10 year old black lab with a heart of gold. Her liver enzymes have been rising for the last few years so we took her to a specialist for an ultrasound. The veterinarian didn't find any masses but did note that her liver seemed small for a dog of her size and her best guess is a condition called Copper Storage Disease - her liver can't process the copper in her food. If diagnosed and treated early she will have a normal life expectancy but if not ... we don't want to go there. In order to make a definitive diagnosis she needs a liver biopsy. We received an estimate but she'll have to spend the night at the vet's office so we're not sure of the total expense. It's hard to ask for help but Noodles is an integral part of our family and has brought a lot of love, joy, and emotional support to us and everyone she meets.
