Liver for Luca in honor of "Grandma Bunny"

We have repeatedly been asked where to send flowers or if we prefer donations to a specific cause. In lieu of flowers, we are instead accepting donations for one of my mother's very special friend Luca.  Luca has a rare genetic disease called Urea Cycle Disorder and has been waiting for a liver transplant for 19 months now. Luca is 9 years old and has known my mother for five of those years through her granddaughters. Luca would always love to go play at "Grandma Bunny's" with her toys in the basement. Luca also attends the school that my mother has been volunteering at since my daughters were in kindergarten, Brooke Grove Elementary School, and would make sure to run into my mom at school whenever she could have the chance.

We have set up a Go Fund Me page to raise funds for Luca's existing medical costs and future medical costs which helps with the stress on Luca and her family. My mother loved Luca like her 11th grandchild and Luca loved her as her own "Grandma Bunny". We would love to keep their heartwarming relationship alive by supporting Luca in my mother's name.
