Liver Lobectomy Surgery for my Prince Pooda

Hello Everyone,

My name is Jinga and I am hoping to raise enough funds to pay for my little fur baby's liver lobectomy surgery. Prince Pooda, who is affectionately called Prince, is 11 years old and he is literally my best friend. I always wanted kids of my own, but was unsuccessful with trying to conceive, so Prince has been my baby for the past 11 years and he is such a fun-loving and energetic Shih Tzu-Maltese mix pooch.

My little guy was recently diagnosed with a mass on his liver that is 7cm in size. I'm a doggie mom who takes her dog to all the scheduled doctor visits for his yearly vaccinations and dental cleaning. But when his bloodwork came back from his routine dental cleaning a few months ago, that's when his doctor at Banfield stated that his liver levels were way too high to proceed with the cleaning because there was a possibility that he would not wake up from the anesthesia. So they sent me home with medicine hoping that this would help. The next visit they did the bloodwork again and the results were the same. So they suggested that he get an ultrasound of his little body to make sure there was nothing there and that's when the mass was discovered.

His doctor suggested a few places to speak to a consultant about my options. I chose MedVet since they had great reviews and was closer to my home. During my consultation with the surgical doctor on 11/16/21, I had a lot of questions for the doctor and she reassured me that his type of diagnosis is better than most because of where the mass is located in his little body. His recovery time will be 2 weeks with a lot of caring for him. She also stated that he will live a normal life after he recovers from the surgery. I didn't want to give up on him because of the cost of the surgery. It was a thought that came across my mind, but I would not have been able to live with myself if doctors were reiterating to me that he will have a normal and happy life afterwards. If I do nothing, the mass will continue to grow and push all his other organs and he would eventually get sicker and pass on. It is very expensive and I wish I had the money instead of reaching out to people for help. The surgical doctor stated that surgery is needed ASAP, but no later than 3-months since she knows that funding his surgery is an issue.

I love my Prince and I talk to him like he's an actual human...LOL! I would be forever grateful with whatever donations that anyone can give. I thank you all in advance for your kind gestures.
