Liver Shunt Cat Surgery
Donation protected
Saving money for my cat named Boots. He was born in April of 2020 when a stray cat broke into our house to give birth. In December he suffered an intense seizure and we discovered he was born with a liver defect called portosystemic shunt, which means that the liver isn’t given the chance to detoxify the blood that comes from their intestines. Instead it flows through a different blood vessel directly to the heart without filtering the blood. This surgery would correct the vessel without it bypassing the liver and he could still live a longer happy life. The surgery alone costs $5000 and I am still in debt from the blood work and tests I had the vet run to diagnose him. I understand money is tight right now, anything you donate would be of big help and would bring me one step closer to bringing my baby safe and healthy back home.
