Liver Transplant for Isabella

This beautiful smiling face is in desperate need of a liver transplant. Isabella Grace Diaz is a freshman at Otsego City Schools. Isabella is a fashionista who loves life!! She’s always smiling. Activities that she enjoys are cheerleading and hanging out with her friends. She recently moved but has attended Central Local Schools (Fairview) in the past.

The family needs your help. Isabella has End Stage Liver Disease and needs a transplant ASAP! Her life depends on it. But that’s not the end. Isabella’s medical conditions include:

Alpha One Anti-trypsin deficiency

End Stage Liver Disease

Cirrhosis

Portal Hypertension

Ascites

Esophageal and stomach extensive varices

Splenomegaly

Neutropenia

Hepatomegaly

and the family just learned one of their biggest fears Hepatopulmonary Syndrome.

Although the family currently has insurance the expenses will be astronomical after coverage. Upwards of $1.5 million. Currently she is taking an antibiotic that cost $3,000.00 alone. Just like any family, airing out finances is never something people like to advertise and this family is no different.

As Jen (Isabella’s mom) put it “I just don’t even know where to start. But I know I can’t hide or swallow my pride anymore. I am going to be off of work indefinitely; they made it extremely clear that I need every option available. They highly encouraged the go fund me. There is no way I can hide this anymore-I have no choice. They really scared me, but I guess I needed it. I thought it would be tight, but I had no idea or was in denial. So I can’t be ignorant or private or proud, because now I’m terrified. I need a go fund me and a liver immediately and I don’t even know where to start.”

So this page has been created to help this family in any way possible. There are two ways to help:

1. Become a live organ donor - cchmc.donorscreen.org and fill out the information. You will need Isabella’s name, DOB: 01/21/08, she needs a liver, and is a current patient at Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital.

2. Or a monetary donation to help cover medical cost.
