Liver Transplant for my brother Jay Wooley

Donation protected
Hello~ My name is Brandi Parker and I am raising money for my younger brother, Jay Wooley, who needs a liver transplant. Jay is 41 years old and the youngest of the three of us siblings. He and his wife Teresa have been married for 22 years and have three children-Randon, Keith and Abby. Jay, our older brother Clint, and I grew up and lived in the Atlanta area. Jay and his wife moved to Pineville, LA and have raised their family there. Although we fight like cats and dogs, I will go to the ends of the earth to try to keep him here with us. Jay is a hard worker who is a wonderful provider for his family, gives back to his community, loves the Lord and is involved with his church. Jay has no idea that I am doing this, but he will soon. He does have medical insurance, but they do not know yet, what the insurance will cover. They have denied the testing so far, but he has no choice but to keep fighting!

Jay is in ESLD (End Stage Liver Disease) and will not live without a liver transplant. It is truly unbelievable to see how much he has declined over the last few months. He is currently in one of the top rated hospitals in the nation--Ochsner's Medical Center in NOLA-a level 1 trauma center. To explain what he has been through to finally arrive in New Orleans would take a while, but one thing we know for certain is that it is only because of God!

Jay has been put on the fast pass at Ochsner's which means they have expedited his panel of tests that must occur for him to go before the medical board - an entire panel of people ranging from Dr.'s, nurses, counselors, social workers, etc. who will decide if he is a candidate for a liver transplant. Jay will more than likely not be able to accept a partial liver from me and will need a whole liver transplant. In praying for Jay to receive a liver, we also are saddened by the fact that this will come after another family has had to say goodbye to a loved one and that has been difficult for him as well.

We are praying that Jay will go before the board next Wednesday and be put on the transplant list. Until then, he will continue to do tests daily while they try to keep his levels stable. Please, donate if you feel lead to do so, but if you are not able to, please continue to pray for him and his family.
