Liver Transplant Medical Bills for Mike Rader

On October 3rd of 2022, Mike Rader was diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the liver. With Mike not being a heavy drinker, the liver was the last thing they thought would be causing problems. Doctors began tests and diagnosing the symptoms of the disease, discovering that he would need a liver transplant sooner rather than later. Mike’s medical team recommended him to The Liver Transplant Institute at Dallas Methodist hospital where he began his journey to hopefully receive a new organ.

After days of extensive tests and doctor consultations at the Liver Transplant Institute he was able to be put on the transplant list by the beginning of 2023. In the middle of a Texas ice storm on an evening in February, the Rader’s received a life changing phone call that would result in Mike undergoing surgery on February 2, 2023 to gain a healthy new liver.

He is now on the road to recovery and is looking forward to living a long healthy life.
