Living Costs for Freya’s Family, Heart Transplant

Hi my name is Rosalind Garrard and I am fundraising on behalf of my Aunty Linda and family who are currently living at Papworth Hospital, as in March 2022 my 16 year old beautiful and funny cousin Freya had sudden heart failure . We are beyond devastated as a family.

Freya was placed quickly into an induced coma to save her life in Salisbury Hospital and transferred urgently to Papworth ICU in Cambridge away from her friends and family and the majority of my Aunty’s support system.

Freya is and will remain in ICU on a life support until she fully recovers from failed organs(Liver, Kidneys) and her Lungs repair from double pneumonia and a collapsed lung. She will then hopefully be placed onto the heart transplant list.

This however is going to take time and as a family we have covered the first 6 weeks of costs.  This has had a serious financial impact on the family as living and travelling costs are now at an all time high this is now taking its toll.

I am limited to what I can do due to COVID and limitations of visitors in ICU. So am asking from the bottom of my heart if you can donate please do, if you can’t please share her story so more people that see this the better.
