Who is Mickey?

Mickey Schultz, a native of Colorado Springs, is a parent, a small business owner, an avid gardener, and a foster dog enthusiast. For over a decade, her salon Hair Elegance served the Colorado Springs community while she raised her children Shanna and Brandon.

Mickey’s diagnosis

In September of 2023, Mickey was diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer. Her estimated life expectancy is one year. She receives chemotherapy every three weeks to prolong life, but her cancer is not curable.

What does Mickey need?

Our goal is to raise funds to cover Mickey's bills and anticipated medical costs for the next 11 months. While Mickey is in treatment for her cancer, she is unable to work, and the financial burden of her medical expenses and daily living costs will soon become overwhelming.

How will these funds be used?

These funds will only be used for day-to-day expenses like mortgage payments, utilities, and prescriptions. This will allow her to focus on her treatment and spend precious time with her loved ones without the added stress of financial worries.
