Living Life while Waitin' on a Liver
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Glen - On Aug 4th I was diagnosed with stage 3 liver cancer that is inoperable and will need a full liver transplant within the next 4 years. Shocked is to say the least as I am 26 years old living life to the fullest, for it to come to a sudden halt for myself, my family, and friends. I started chemo right away and started the journey of finding which hospital would take on my case as I have a very rare cancer. I came across 3 hospitals in the US to see if I would even fit into their programs. I have landed at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. MD Anderson has only seen this presentation of cancer in a small handful of persons. MD Anderson has taken on my case and given me hope. My team in Texas will work with my team at in my hometown of Doylestown, PA to continue this journey. I will continue chemo and will need to return to Texas for testing and follow up care multiple times a year.
Your generous donations will go toward travel expenses and medical cost that will arise. More importantly, your donation will help me focus my energy on fighting this and not stressing about the financial means to make this all happen. Many of you who know me or know my story, know that asking for help is something I rarely do. I take great pride in fighting my own battles, but sometimes even the strongest people need help.
Please pray, share and support, as it would be very much appreciated in more ways than I could ever appreciate.
