Living life with Metastatic Breast Cancer
Donation protected
On February 7th, at just 37 years old, Lindsey was diagnosed with Stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma with lymphatic invasion. A scary shock for sure, but also very treatable.
However, on March 8, while in the doctor's office to schedule future radiation, Lindsey was told that her breast cancer had spread to her bones - specifically her spine. The back pain she had for some time was multiple metastatic lesions. She went from a very curable Stage 2B to Stage 4 just like that. No more surgery. No more chemo. No more cure. Metastatic Breast Cancer.
Lindsey has been in a considerable amount of back pain since her diagnosis. She has been to numerous doctor appointments in a short period, requiring significant time away from work and the obvious increase in expenses. She begins daily radiation treatments next week, which will hopefully help with the pain. We want to help relieve some of her financial burdens to allow her to focus on enjoying life with her four young children.
