Living life with new cancer diagnosis!

Hello!

This is all of the amazing people who work with/who love the Peasley bunch!

We are here to try and support this amazing family as they navigate life with a scary and unpredictable cancer diagnosis. At the beginning of this year Rich Peasley was having some trouble getting food down and was losing weight, and after awhile thinking it was nothing , he ended up going to the emergency room. While there, that is when they got the shocking news that he had actually been suffering from an aortic aneurysm! They said it was very close call and it was a level 9 aneurysm and that he needed surgery to fix the problem. He had an invasive procedure done leaving him with several staples down his torso. While recovering from that terrible health scare, they got more devastating news that they found cancer cells and would need to look further into it & do a few biopsy’s to see what stage / what kind of cancer.

Ultimately they got more unfortunate news saying Rich is diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. He got an oncologist and together they created a treatment plan to shrink the tumor. After the dreaded port surgery, Rich was put on a very high strength chemotherapy treatment. He got very very sick in that time and was not feeling very great at all.

After all of the several months of treatments he was blessed with some good news that the esophagus mass had shrunk a significant amount and that would allow him to be on a “ maintenance plan “ for his chemotherapy treatments until further notice.

Despite all of these hurdles that have been placed in their lives they all continue to keep each other in good spirits while struggling financially and mentally. As many of you know money is a huge factor of stress in families all over the world, let alone having a heap of medical bills while you’re trying to heal and live your life!

Now this is where we come in!

The money raised will help with needs for their daughter Savannah as she is going through school, paying all of the everyday expenses that life throws, as well as a never ending pile of medical bills.
