The Cov "Living Wall" Project

Thank you for visiting this project page!
I am raising funds to build a "living wall" at Covenant House's day shelter located in Jack London Square, fondly known as "The Cov". Covenant House California is an organization that provides homeless and trafficked young adults (ages 18-24) with safe and supportive places to call home during times of transition and difficulty.
Through this project, I aim to infuse new life into the shelter space and provide an opportunity for the young adults who use the facility, to participate in the build process.
Living walls boast a variety of benefits that range from increasing indoor air quality, to beautifying interior spaces, to enhancing emotional health by bringing the healing impacts of plants indoors. My hope is that this installation becomes a source of pride for The Cov and especially for the young adults who help build to it.
The installation will occur in late February/early March and funds raised through this campaign will cover all costs of living wall materials, various supplies needed for maintaining the wall over time and food to be served on the installation days.
Any amount you can offer to support this effort would be greatly appreciated!!!
Warmly,
Elizabeth
