Living with liver cancer is hard enough…

Hi, as most of you know my name is Renee and my bestie Daniel Miehle was diagnosed with liver cancer on Good Friday April 10, 2020. Since the diagnosis we have been working with an outstanding team of doctors out of Anschultz Cancer Center in Aurora, Colorado... It has been a continuous uphill climb since then for Daniel and after each and every chemoembolization treatment. Although he has made many lifestyle changes, and we are still optimistic, his liver is showing signs of deterioration and is struggling. Daniel will be seeing a hepatologist in the coming weeks to discuss alternative treatment options other than the chemoembolizations he has been receiving for 3 years.  Daniel and I don’t ask for help from anyone as we have been going through this alone for the past couple of years. Due to Daniel not being able to work coupled with me missing many days of work and loss of income to care for him and drive him to appointments we have incurred many expenses that are putting us under a financial burden. On top of his chemoembolizations, Daniel must undertake many CT scans, numerous MRIs, never ending bloodwork and doctors appointments with portions of these covered by Medicare. We are here humbly asking for donations to help reduce outside expenses, such as hotels in Aurora when we need to stay near the hospital, the remainder of the medical expenses not covered by Medicare that we place on credit cards and many small medical needs that are completely not covered by Medicare to help keep Daniel comfortable. This fundraising opportunity is important to me to help relieve financial stresses that we should not be having at this difficult time in his life. He means the world to me and has helped me in so many ways I’m hoping I can help him in return not have sleepless nights worrying about money and bills while battling liver cancer.
