Liya's Volunteer Trip to Peru

For Our Sister and Friend Liya Rubio.
If you know Liya Rubio, it is simple to see that her joy comes from her lifetime commitment to helping those in need.
Liya has been an advocate and driving force of the Ethiopian Adoption Community in Ethiopia and Seattle. Reaching out to many Ethiopian Adoptees across the country, opening her time, heart and home to any one of us in need. I have known Liya for over 20 years, and I am always inspired and in awe of her kindness and selflessness.
Liya will be leaving on October 30th to volunteer for nine months with Seeds of Hope in Peru. Please donate anything you can to help make this possible. Funds raised will help with living expenses, travel cost, and any emergencies while she is there. Liya will also be buying the kids back to school supplies, outdoor activity and hygiene products.
"Since I was young, volunteering in my community has always been a big part of my life. It has brought me to connect to people from all walks of life; to get out of my world and into someone else’s. I want to volunteer because I believe in sharing resources and giving your time can really make a difference in each other’s life. While volunteering at SeedsofHopePeru. I will get a chance to learn from them, exchange cultures and stories, while making positive impact on these kids life and their future. Seeds of Hope's mission is to support children living in extreme poverty in Huaráz, Perú, and to provide vocational training for those without economic means, thus enabling them to break the cycle of poverty.
