Liz Gonzales Memorial Fund

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the recent passing of our beloved sister, Elizabeth Gonzales. Liz bravely faced the challenges of cancer over the last 5 years with incredible strength and grace. Throughout it all she continued to maintain a busy life with a full time job as well as caring for her only son, Xavier.

Our nephew, Xavier, was the reason our sister fought this battle each day with every ounce of her being. She was extremely proud of him and his accomplishments. Her consistency and support was integral in helping Xavier reach his goals. She was both his biggest supporter and fan, as well as always being his loudest cheerleader in the stands.

At this time, our family focus is to provide a stable support system according to Liz's wishes. With our sister's passing, Xaviers guardians are now in the process of moving to San Jose for Xavier so he may continue to grow up in the house he has lived in since childhood and continue with his schooling. We will all navigate this new reality together while we mourn the loss of his mother and attempt to fill the void left behind.

While we can never fill the void of Liz's presence, the focus of our family is to be able to support Xavier to continue to watch him grow with love, stability and family support.. Liz's three sisters are going to continue to provide support as they have his entire life - alongside all of his cousins and loving grandparents.

In remembrance of Liz, we have established this page to honor her legacy and commemorate her courageous battle against cancer. All funds raised as a part of this GoFundMe will be tranferred to Xaviers trust, created by Liz before her passing for his future. This is the only GoFundMe our family has created and linked to his trust.

In the days since our sisters passing, our family has been overwhelmed with the amount of love and support we have received from so many people. Liz and Xavier had a village of incredible people helping in so many ways as they went through this journey together over the last five years.
We would like to especially thank Liz's Broadcom family, the kindness and compassion extended by Liz's Broadcom family left an indelible mark on our hearts. Every phone call gave us a true understanding of just how much she truly cherished you all. Our parents and entire family are beyond grateful for those of you who were a constant part of Liz and Xaviers lives and always checking on their well being.

Let us keep Liz's memory alive by continuing to spread the love and kindness shared with us all. May she rest in peace knowing she was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Our family is currently planning a memorial service and will
share more details as they become available.
