Liz Greenlee Meningioma Surgery

She is a wife, mom, daughter, sister, and friend.

She is strong and brave, humble and kind, selfless and patient.

She is also about to face the biggest challenge of her life thus far...Surgery to remove a benign Meningioma on her brain near her spinal cord.

The time frame from diagnosis to surgery is happening very quickly due to the location of the tumor. Her team of doctors who have diagnosed her wants her to travel to a neurosurgeon who is known around the world for his work on rare brain tumors and is also located out of state from where Liz and her husband Wayne live. This will require travel for Liz and Wayne. They are both going to be off work for a while, so, I am putting this fundraiser together to hopefully help ease some of the anxiety and stress associated with the need for this emergency money.

The funds raised will be used for travel expenses for Liz and Wayne to travel within the United States to the neurosurgeon as well as help with lodging for both of them as Liz will need to be near the surgeon for at least 2 weeks after surgery.

A lot of questions have been answered now, but a lot of questions remain unanswered.

After surgery as Liz is recovering and healing we are certain more questions will be answered.

This diagnosis was like a punch in the gut for Liz and those of us who love her. Your help and prayers are greatly appreciated and lovingly accepted.

We know 'shes got this'. She is not alone.

Update August 20, 2023:

I recently spoke with Liz and shared with her how this gift of love is going! She would like for everyone to know how much she and Wayne appreciate the support through this. It is ovewhelming for her and is taking things one day at a time. The texts, messages, and phone calls mean so much to her! More updates later this week as she will soon find out dates of travel and surgery as well as the overall plan from the neurosurgeon.
