84-year-old Liz suffered heart attack, lost home in LA fire

A news crew covering the recent fires in Los Angeles found Liz Lerner at the end of her driveway in Pacific Palisades, desperate for someone to help evacuate her.
She's 84, doesn't drive, and without any nearby family to help her.
One last remaining neighbor kindly agreed to take her out of the wildfire zone, and Liz suffered a heart attack while being evacuated. She was dropped off at the hospital and is now recovering.
Liz's family home has been entirely destroyed by the fire. It was built by her father, who was himself a firefighter, in 1949. Liz is living off social security, and the insurance company canceled her policy on the house several years ago. She took nothing with her when she evacuated apart from a a plastic bag containing a few medicines and her phone.
Liz is now being moved to an assisted living facility. This fundraiser is to help her get back on her feet after this devastating tragedy.
